Party Planning on a Budget (interview on NBC LA with Colleen Williams): Signature Drinks

Here are a few recipes for signature drinks to complement the centerpieces in our previous blog.

The Green Goddess

Vodka – 1 measure
Potter’s Melon Liqueur – 1 measure
Sparkling mineral water – 1 measure
Splash of lemon juice
Mint for garnish

Place a few cubes of ice into a martini shaker.  Add Vodka, Mellon Liqueur and sparkling mineral water.  Shake and pour into a champagne flute. Add a splash of fresh lemon juice and garnish with a spring of mint.

Milk and Cookies with a Twist

Bacardi Select Dark Rum – 1 measure
Potter’s Crème de Cacao Liqueur – 1/2 measure
Heavy cream – 2 measures
Drizzle of honey
Chocolate chip cookie (soft)
Grated dark chocolate

Place a few ice cubes into a martini shaker.  Add rum, Crème de Cacao, cream and honey.  Shake and pour into a martini glass.  Sprinkle grated chocolate on the surface of the drink and garnish with a soft chocolate chip cookie on the rim of the glass.

Burgundy Blast

Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut Sparkling Wine  – 4 parts
Potter’s Crème de Cassis Liqueur – 1 part
Bohemian Raspberry Cocktail Sugar

Decorate the rim of a low-ball glass with cocktail sugar.  Add 2-3 ice cubes, chilled sparkling wine and slowly stir in Crème de Cassis.
